Neal Creek Farm
Franklin County, Tennessee

Tennessee Farm Photos from 2006

We purchased Neal Creek Farm on July 5, 2006 and were not well equipped to do all of the work that needs to be done to restore this beautiful but neglected and overgrazed property to a balanced and productive state.  See farm pictures for signs of progress.

One thing that is absolutely for sure, the grand kiddos love the farm and the cold clear water in Neal Creek.  There is no better place to be than neck deep in the creek on a hot summer day.

Sierra is ready for a picnic.

Heading down the pasture, creek is to the right.

Note the watercress in the foreground.

Hillside to the right above the creek is a good home site.

The little creek is running a lot of water considering it has been very dry for 30 days.

The creek runs over 1,500 feet through the property and disappears down a sink hole.

Making a wish.  Fortunately, it is not a thistle seed.

Counting the minnows in the Prichard Pool, named after great friend and
Tennessee's State Naturalist Mack Prichard.

Sierra loves the cold water in the creek. especially on a hot summer day.

See 2007 photos.
